Scoring a match as it happens

Keep the score of a match in Spike — set by set, point by point — so the result is recorded where the event already lives instead of on a scoresheet somebody photographs.

How clubs do this today

The score lives on a paper scoresheet, or in someone's head, or in a separate scoring app that knows nothing about your club.

Afterwards the result is typed into a group chat and forgotten. There is no record on the event itself, so a season's results cannot be looked back over.

What we are building

  • Set-by-set scoring on the match event, with a nominated scorer who keeps it.
  • The running score visible to everyone following the match, not just the person holding the sheet.
  • A completed match keeping its result on the event, so a club's season is a readable history.
  • Results feeding tournament standings automatically, rather than being entered twice.
