Tournaments
Run a tournament end to end: group stages, single or double elimination, seeded or random draws, and standings that update as results come in. It is finished and running, but not switched on for every club yet.
How clubs do this today
A one-day tournament is usually run from a printed bracket and a group chat. The draw is done on paper, results are shouted across a hall, and the table is recalculated by hand between rounds.
The cost is not the admin — it is that nobody except the organiser knows what is happening. Teams do not know which court they are on next, and a mistake in the table is found after the trophy has been handed over.
What we are building
- Group stages, single elimination and double elimination, with the bracket generated from the draw.
- Seeded, random or manual placement into groups, and slots you fill as teams confirm.
- Standings calculated from results as they land, with set ratios and point differentials.
- Teams entered from the clubs already on Spike, so a squad carries its roster in with it.
